Hi, I have a Samsung clp-325 laser printer. I've seen tutorials on youtube showing how to make the 310/315 model not need the chips on the toners so you can just refill them. Does anyone know if this mod works with the newer 325 model?

My yellow toner is about half full (I use a lot of it) and I want to be prepared for when it runs out. Should I buy a refill kit (I've only seen them available abroad from farbtoner) with the replacement chips and wait for it to be empty? Or should I top it up now? I read something about not letting it get below 30% if refilling it. Can someone maybe explain how it works if I get the chips and toner? Hey there guys, so I had some trouble with my printer stating that it was out of toner and would not print anything other than gray scale. After spending some time on this forum yesterday, i decided to try and put some tape on the prongs on the front door that touch the chips on the cartridges to stop the connection there, and voila!

The cartridge indicator lights all stay red, but the status light stays green and there are no further issues and beautiful prints - hopefully i don't have anymore issues here, but it seems to be working for now. No soldering or cabling, chip replacement, or firmware update required!
