Ok so i was reading on a post to format my 500GB external harddrive because i did something to mess it up when i was modding MW2. Anyway, as i was reading i came across this cmd command.

The link to the original post is the command is as follows for NTFS to FAT32 (Open start menu > Run > type CMD and hit 'OK') format /FS:FAT32 (Drive letter *example: format /FS:FAT32 F: When you do that you get this image (Not my work got it from the link above) So im thinking if you do the same command but replace FAT32 with FATX it may work? Now, don't flame me as this is just a suggestion, ALSO someone with windows vista and windows 7 should try this as well, seeing as xbox 360 is newer than windows XP.
